James E. Rogers
CEO and President: Duke Energy Corporation
Jim Rogers is chairman of the board, president and CEO of Duke Energy Corporation. He served as chairman and CEO of Cinergy until its merger with Duke Energy in 2006. He also held the position of chairman, president and CEO of PSI Energy and served as EVP of interstate pipelines for the Enron Gas Pipeline Group. Prior to joining Enron, Rogers was a partner with Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. Previously, Rogers served as a law clerk for the Supreme Court of Kentucky and as assistant attorney general for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Rogers is a director of Fifth Third Bancorp and a board member of Cigna Corp. He is immediate past chairman and ex officio member of the Executive Committee of the Edison Electric Institute. He is also a member of the board of directors and the Executive Committee of the Nuclear Energy Institute, and serves on the boards of several organizations including the Alliance to Save Energy, The Business Roundtable and the American Gas Association.
