THE FORUM MORE INFORMATION

The Presidential Forum on Renewable Energy was created to ensure that renewable energy, sustainability, and conservation are top issues in the 2008 Presidential electionsPFRE brings together 2008 Presidential Candidates to generate discussion and foster innovation. 
 
For the first time in history, presidential candidates took part in a forum focused on global warming and America's energy future.  The event, sponsored by Grist and PRI's Living on Earth, was held at the Wadsworth Theater in Los Angeles on November 17.  The forum - featuring Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Dennis Kucinich - was presented by the Presidential Forum on Renewable Energy in partnership with League of Conservation Voters Education Fund, California LCV Education Fund, Center for American Progress Action Fund, and NRDC Action Fund.

College Student Essay Contest

The Presidential Forum on Renewable Energy is also sponsoring a nationwide college student essay contest asking students to submit a plan on renewable energy, sustainability, and conservation for America. $10,000 educational prizes will be awarded to three renewable energy scholars.
